One thing we love to do is support the arts’ community, and when it comes to performance arts specifically, we hold it near and dear to our hearts. Having been to over 75 plays and concerts over the last couple of years, it’s safe to say that attending a show is definitely a favorite pastime of ours!
So when we came across Poetry Me, Please — a spoken word poetry platform that provides a stage for poets to showcase their talents through creative verbal expressions — we went to their show off the strength that this kind of event is right up our alley, and it’s been a while since we supported poetry! But while there, we really loved the energy, the beautiful and friendly souls in attendance, the performances, and the overall positive vibes from that night.
It was shortly after that moment where we thought it would be a really cool idea to amplify the feelings the poets gave the audience at the show with a vibe they can continue at home… but in candle form!
Thus, the creation of The “Tell Me I’m Home” and “Warmth” Candles! Two scents that emitted what Poetry Me, Please’s showcases are — warming, distinctive, fresh, and of quality. And as a special touch, on the back of each candle there was an excerpt from PMP’s founder, Rashan Brown’s, poem, “Tell Me I’m Home”, to reflect each candle’s mood.
In the end, we loved how seamless this collaboration was! Candles and poetry is such an enjoyable duo and we hope you had the chance to experience it.
